Notes from Penarth Peers meeting, Wednesday 9th November 2022
Julie welcomed members to the meeting. She thanked the following:
Rosemary for organising the trip to Nantgarw China Works.
Carole Halstead and Sue Orpin for being tea hostesses, ably assisted by Sheila James.
Sally Johns for organising the Christmas lunch.
December meeting
This will be our Christmas party, for which entertainment has been arranged. Please wear something sparkly. The room was divided into sweet and savoury and members were reminded not to bring loads of food.
If possible, please bring a Christmassy item for the Tabernacle food bank. Mince pies are not ideal because of the short sell by date.
If anybody is not on the WhatsApp, please see Helen to get their phone number added.
The GFWI is putting together a calendar for 2024 and members are invited to submit a photo entry on the theme of “Castles in Glamorgan” by Friday 3rd February 2023. Please see information sheet if interested.
Julie then outlined the five stations comprising our craft evening.
It was a very successful evening and Julie was thanked for all her hard work in coordinating the event.
